We had already talked about the ongoing actions in Finland to put into practice a youth guarantee.
Now, thanks to the commitment of Finnish Social Democrats, a partner in the governing coalition, we are happy to announce that a youth guarantee will enter into force early 2013.
The Youth Guarantee was one of the key policies pushed by Social Democrats, which made it part of the government programme. In the next weeks, five ministers, led by social democrat Labour Minister Lauri Ihalainen, will go on a tour of the main cities of Finland to speed up and motivate regional actors to take collective responsible action to prevent the social exclusion of young people.
A new website was created and will be a part of the national campaign to promote a Youth Guarantee in Finland. A handbook of good practices has also been created to support the actors working in the field.
