European Commission to present proposal on a European Youth Guarantee

European Youth Guarantee

After six months of solid campaigning, we start to see the great results of our work together.

In two weeks’ time, on  December 5th, the European Commission will present a first proposal on a European Youth Guarantee.

We need to make sure that this proposal marks a turning point  for the Youth of Europe.

Thanks to the excellent cooperation we have developed with Commissioner for Employment and Social Affairs Laszlo Andor we have a lot of confidence in the proposal.

His commitment to fighting youth unemployment is clear and his championing of the European Youth Guarantee is well documented. But we need to make sure that Laszlo’s fellow Commissioners support the proposal.

It is up to you.
You can make your political representatives aware of this text and you can explain how important is to support it.

With your help we make this a solid proposal from the Commission and give it a chance to have a real impact.

This will set us up nicely for next year and the Irish Presidency of the EU.
Thanks to our friends from Irish Labour, the Youth Guarantee will be a priority for the Irish Presidency.
We can build on what we hope will be a strong Commission text.
