O Partido Socialista (PS) Português associou-se à campanha do Partido Socialista Europeu, ECOSY (Jovens Socialistas) e do departamento das Mulheres do PSE que defende uma Garantia europeia para os jovens.

Esta garantia funciona como um "novo contrato social", oferecendo aos jovens um emprego, um estágio ou a continuação dos estudos, o mais tardar, quatro meses após a conclusão do ciclo de estudos ou inscrição  no centro de emprego.

De partij van de Europese socialisten (PES) heeft zopas haar grootschalige campagne “Jouw toekomst is mijn toekomst - Voor een Europese Jeugdgarantie” gelanceerd. Die richt zich op de aanpak van de Europese jeugdwerkloosheid. Vandaag zijn 5,6 miljoen jonge Europeanen werkloos; dat is meer dan de totale bevolking van Denemarken. Dit gebrek aan werk kost Europa 100 miljard euro per jaar. Een Europese Jeugdgarantie , zoals voorgesteld door de PES, kan verwezenlijkt worden met de inbreng van 10 miljard euro uit de EU-structuurfondsen. Met die middelen kunnen tegen 2014 2 miljoen jongeren uit de werkloosheid getild worden.

Social Democratic and Labour Party (SDLP, Northern Ireland) Youth International Secretary, Killian Feehan, has welcomed the campaign being driven by the Party of European Socialists Your future is my future - a European Youth Guarantee now!"

The Maltese Labour Party has joined the PES-ECOSY-PES Women demand for a European Youth Guarantee. On the same day the campaign "Your future is my future - a European Youth Guarantee now!" was launched in Brussels, Joseph Muscat, Labour Party leader, organized a conference on a Youth Guarantee proposal to be applied in Malta.

With almost 40% early-school leavers, M. Muscat underlined the importance of such a guarantee to provide "qualitative jobs" for all.

The Party of European Socialists (PES) today launched its flagship campaign “Your future is my future - A European Youth Guarantee now!”, which aims to tackle the crisis of youth unemployment in Europe. Currently, 5.6 million young Europeans are jobless, more than the entire population of Denmark. This inactivity costs Europe 100 billion euro every year. A European Youth guarantee, as being proposed by the PES could be supported by 10 billion euros from EU structural funds. This funding could help bring 2 million young people out of unemployment by 2014.
